    About Pilates for dancers

    Strength, technique and longevity

    Professional dancers all over the world use Pilates as an essential part of their body conditioning. As a fully qualified Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer, Sally aims to give you access to high-quality, dance-specific conditioning to enable you get stronger, use your body to its fullest, access your best technique, and help prevent injury.

     

    Programmes are based on Pilates techniques, and incorporate resistance work, small weights, balance boards and balls. Exercises are safe yet effective, and are tailored for student dancers aged from 11+ to adult, and professional dancers of all styles.

     

    1-2-1 and small group classes are available now, and group classes are coming soon - please get in touch to register your interest.

    About Sally

    Pilates, dance and conditioning

    Sally trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts before enjoying a ten year career in musical theatre. In 2018, she trained as a Pilates instructor with the aim of helping more dancers access dance-specific conditioning and rehab for happy, healthy careers, following this with a Personal Training qualification with St Mary's University.

     

    Since training, Sally has worked with vocational ballet students and West End performers, and has spent time teaching, learning and observing in world-leading Ballet and Dance Healthcare settings. She constantly furthers her knowledge with additional courses, observation, seminars and research findings.

    • BA (Hons) Degree in Dance and Performing Arts (LIPA)
    • Level 3 Diploma in Instructing Pilates (Active IQ)
